On March 28, the CARD Steering Committee met for the first time at the McKechnie Family LIFE Home. Committee members, Michael Lotspeich-Yadao, Laura Mattie, Matt Hanks, Dianne Husby-Gordon, Emily Tarconish, (Deana McDonagh was unable to attend) joined Laura Rice, CARD Director, Carrie Wennerdahl, CARD Coordinator, and Jeff Woods, Ex Officio, to talk about CARD activities and initiatives while offering feedback and guidance. The topics discussed included feedback on the CARD 2023-2024 activities, ideas on how to best collaborate with the community, ways to create community and bring people together, ideas for outreach events, external speakers, a CARD Tool Kit, nominations for potential members to promote growth within the steering committee, and goals for 2024-2025. The meeting was productive providing the CARD staff with many ideas for current and future endeavors. The next CARD Steering Committee meeting will be held in October 2024.
